Where are we?
If this question is on your mind, perhaps you might want to experiment with a GPS (global positioning system) receiver! With a GPS you can determine your latitude and longitude coordinates as well as your altitude.
Duirng the "Short Sessions" you will have the opportunity to learn about geocaching and how you can apply it in the classroom...For those of you who want the REAL thing, meet in the Mt. Hood Ballroom on Monday at 4:30 pm--you'll get to do some hands on Geoaching. Be sure to bring car keys (or come with a friend who has keys!), something to trade, and your geosenses! We will be splitting up into groups and caching our way into the dinner hour.

Wow! What a great opportunity to explore Portland, get a flavor for geocaching, and hang out with other teachers on a live "treasure" hunt. I can't wait for the REAL hands on activity on Monday. See you at 4:30... Todd
