Teacher on Special Assignment
North Clackamas School District
I have been working the last two years as a TOSA . My primary focus is to serve as a trainer for the teachers who are part of the Ed Tech grant in our district. These teachers are using wireless iBooks in the classroom to impact student achievement. Wireless technology has had a big impact on teachers and students trying to integrate technology into instruction and learning. Bringing technology right to the classroom is a big help.

My name is Norm Stewart. I?m the Principal for the Echo School District. Echo is a small K-12 school district with approximately 270 students. I?ve worked for the district for the last eight years. The first three years as the district?s physical education teacher and the last five as an Administrator, Head Football Coach, and Teacher of one high school class. Although the size of the district requires that I maintain a very busy schedule I enjoy working in small districts such as Echo because of the close relationships that develop between the students, parents, and the staff of the district.

Our elementary school has been a part of the Education Technology Grant for the past two years. During that time our students and teachers have immersed themselves in the technology. We have seen great improvement in student test scores and the comfort level of our students and staff in relationship to technology.

The Carde has given our district an opportunity to interact with other schools and ESDs in the state that are on the cutting edge of technology instruction. It has also provided opportunities to incorporate other district?s successes and modify those ideas to fit the needs of our own district.

Tricia George
Teacher on Special Assignment
I have been with the North Clackamas School District for nine years, four years as a Technology TOSA. Prior to that I taught elementary grades 4 - 6. I now have the opportunity to work with teachers, students, and administrators and spread the joy of technology integration. Now, no two days are alike!
For the past two years we have been privileged to be a part of the Title llD Ed Tech grant, and have seen remarkable growth in our teachers and students. We are in constant pursuit of DATA to connect our teacher and student efforts in technology integration to student achievement!

I work at Deschutes Edge Charter School in Redmond, Oregon. It is a middle level program with a technology focus. This is our first year of implementation and it has been a great ride, but a fast one! I am constantly making lists and trying to stay caught up. I teach 4 classes of language arts, as well as coordinating the school with the help of 2 administrators. Being a part of OETC has been a real pleasure. I enjoy the challenge and it allows me to trade roles; I become a learner at each meeting, rather than the facilitator.

Stacy Buglione
Hi everyone. I started my teaching career at Lebanon High School teaching Business Education. From there I moved to Eastern Oregon and did Help Desk Tech Support for the UMESD for 1 year. For the past 6 years I have been an Instructional Technology Specialist for the UMESD serving the 12 school districts in Eastern Oregon. The favorite thing about my job is working with teachers from all grade levels and helping them use technology in their classroom.
